When you think high school football, the states of Texas, California, Florida and Ohio are usually at the forefront. This year however, Texas and Ohio faired poorly, with the Lone Star state having only one selection, Richardson Berkner CB Aquib Talib (pictured right), who played at an out-of-state college (Kansas) no less, while the Buckeye state was completely shut out in the first round.
Florida and California had the most high school players from their respective states selected in the first round with seven each, followed by Virginia (3) and Michigan (2). Texas suffered the indignation of tying with the high school football juggernaut states of Massachusetts, Delaware and Indiana, who also had one player each selected from their states.
