Lake Travis coach
Jeff Dicus will be taking over the reins of the Duncanville Panthers next year. Duncanville found success in the mid nineties, making the playoffs nine consecutive years from 1996-2004, including a state championship in 1998, but fell on hard times recently, missing the playoffs the past three seasons and posting a 3-7 record in 2007. Dicus was also the head coach for three seasons at Boerne and two at Mission and led each to the playoffs, before leading the Cavaliers to a state championship.
In another coaching move, Plano East offensive coordinator
Gerald Perry has been selected as the head coach of Bastrop.
Speaking of moving, SI.com is reporting that former Texarkana High QB
Ryan Mallett has enrolled at the University of Arkansas, after leaving Michigan.
