The Dallas Morning News has recently run various articles touting the great high school football games at Texas Stadium over the years, and the Houston Chronicle jumped on board with their greatest games ever at the Astrodome.If this were a boxing match, Texas Stadium would win by a knockout. The Stadium has hosted the two highest attended high school games in history, while also hosting the You Tube classic John Tyler vs. Plano East game in 1994.
The Astrodome was also a great venue over the years, with the top game probably being the Houston Madison, who featured Vince Young at QB, vs. Galena Park Northshore game in 2001. An epic game that Madison won 61-58.
The curtain comes down on high school football at Texas Stadium tonight following the Celina vs. Carthage game, but the memories will endure forever.
