Most Class 3A football fans expected Liberty Hill to extend the state's longest winning streak (38) against Celina, but the Bobcats won in convincing style (40-12), thus extending the life of high school football at Texas Stadium for one more game as Celina and Carthage will meet for the state championship at 8pm Friday night.In class 5A, the championship games scheduled for next Saturday may be played in conditions that were never considered when the games were scheduled as the roof at Reliant Stadium is still in disrepair due to Hurricane Ike and the long range forecast calls for a 40% chance of rain in the Houston area.
