Heritage/Carroll Start the Day Off Early

Former district foes Colleyville Heritage (9-1) and Southlake Carroll (7-2) start off another great day of playoff football with a 10am kickoff at Texas Stadium. This has been an unusual year for the Dragons, who lost two games in district play, and it may get even stranger if they lose in the first round.

This is a difficult first round matchup for Carroll. It's no so much the loss of QB Kyle Padron that is the concern as it is a defense that has been giving up hugh chucks of yardage; and make no mistake the Panthers can rack up the yardage.
Our Pick: Colleyville Heritage 45, Southlake Carroll 35

Stunning losses by Abilene and Converse Judson last night blew our picks in those regions, as I'm sure it did for many others. The Abilene loss really shocked me, but it just goes to show anything can and will happen come playoff time.
